Frequently Asked Questions
How do I report illegal immigration in Southern Oregon?
Two ways: file online through the report intake form, or call 1 (541) 555-0142 and leave a detailed voicemail. Include the date, time, location, a factual description of what you observed, and your contact information. Reports with complete details are handled first.
Which areas does this line cover?
Reports are accepted from across the region: Jackson County (Medford, Ashland, Central Point, Eagle Point, Phoenix, Talent), Josephine County (Grants Pass), Klamath County (Klamath Falls), Douglas County (Roseburg), Curry County, and Lake County. If you observed activity elsewhere in Oregon, you may still file and select "Other."
What happens after I file a report?
Your report is logged with a reference number and placed in the review queue. Reports are reviewed in the order received. Complete, specific, and factual reports receive priority over vague or incomplete filings.
Do I have to identify myself?
Yes. This line accepts reports only from identified filers. You must provide your full name, phone number, and email address, and certify that the information you provide is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Anonymous submissions are not accepted.
Is a photograph required?
Yes. Photographic evidence taken at or near the described location is required for online filings. Photographs are reviewed alongside your report. Do not take photographs in a manner that places you or others at risk.
What information should I include?
Include the date and approximate time of the activity, the city and location, a factual description of what you observed, descriptions of any vehicles (including license plates if you can see them safely), how often the activity occurs, and whether you have reported it before.
Can I report by phone instead of online?
Yes. Call 1 (541) 555-0142 and leave a detailed voicemail. Speak slowly and clearly and include the date, location, a description of the activity, and your name and callback number. Voicemail reports are logged the same as online filings.
How long does review take?
Review timelines vary with report volume. There is no guaranteed timeframe, and filers are not contacted in every case. Keep your reference number; it identifies your filing in the queue.
Will I be contacted about my report?
Not necessarily. Providing a phone number and email address allows reviewers to reach you if additional information about your report is needed, but contact is not guaranteed.
What if I already reported this elsewhere?
File anyway and note in the details section where you previously reported the same activity. Duplicate reporting does not improve handling — a single complete report is best.
Can I file more than one report?
Yes, but each report should describe a distinct incident or set of facts. Repeated filings of the same incident by the same filer are consolidated.
Is this line affiliated with any government agency?
No. This is an independent community reporting line. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency. Reports are reviewed by private volunteers, and filing a report does not guarantee any outcome, referral, or follow-up.
